Gluten

This font is delicious! It's also slightly loud, very round, and 100% fun. Gluten is filling, we'll put it that way. It can be lean, while leaning (forward or backward). Hope you're hungry.

Gluten was fun from the beginning so the real work/challenge was to expand it beyond one weight to many weights (variable) without losing the quirky personality. Since it had a lot of personality at its heaviest it needed to retain that at its lightest. No big deal though, right? Because Gluten celebrates every curve, nook, and cranny. A standard set of italics was made for emphasis, but a set of reverse italics was also created for ridiculous emphasis. That angle is variable too, so while the regular style of Gluten sits upright, its slant can go either forward or backward.

Gluten comes in static styles for desktop and web as well as a single variable font and has received several updates since its release in August of 2018. Thanks to Google Fonts it now exists in libre form with an Open Font License and is available on Github.
